What CarRoutine helps you do
CarRoutine keeps maintenance and spending records for a vehicle you define:
- Garage — vehicle name and odometer, next service due date and distance from your last event and interval, insurance renewal date, and recent service history
- Costs — add expenses with categories, pick a time period, and compare category totals
Everything is calculated on your device from the values you save. There is no automatic import from workshops or insurers.
Getting started
- Open Garage and add a vehicle with your current odometer.
- Add a service (for example, an oil change) with the last completed date, odometer, and interval by days and/or distance.
- Review the next due card for remaining days and distance.
- When work is done, record the completed service so the next threshold advances.
- Use Costs to log fuel, service, insurance, or other categories and compare totals for a selected period.
Common questions
Why did due status change after I updated mileage?
Distance-based due items compare your current odometer to the next threshold. Editing mileage recalculates remaining distance; calendar-based due dates stay tied to the interval from your last service date unless you change that event or interval.
Will I get push notifications?
CarRoutine highlights due items inside the App. It does not promise background alerts in the current product design.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Records live in the App’s local storage on each device. This release does not include a CarRoutine cloud sync feature. Device backups managed by you or Apple may include app data depending on your backup settings; we cannot restore ledger entries from our side because we do not host them.
How do I delete my information?
Use in-app settings to delete vehicle records and clear local data, or remove individual services and expenses. Uninstalling the App removes local data from the device subject to iOS backup behavior. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does the App give repair or insurance advice?
No. Totals and due labels are informational summaries of your entries only. See Terms of Use for limitations.
Reporting a problem
If something looks wrong after you save data, note whether you changed odometer, a service date, or an interval—those edits intentionally recalculate results. If the App closes unexpectedly or will not save, restart your device, ensure you have a recent iOS update, reinstall only if you accept that local data may be removed unless restored from backup, then contact us with steps to reproduce the issue.
